The 70s Make-Up Trend

Mauve eyeshadow, bushy brows, bottom-heavy lashes, we’re loving the 70s make-up trend! Recreate this retro look with these key products.

Pastel Power

Time to put your neutral eyeshadow palette aside and dive into colour. Wash lids with anything pastel, from mauve to baby blue, and don’t forget to add a touch of shimmer to the inner corners to open up the eyes. Amp up the look for night-time by adding
a cat-eye liner to the top lash line and finish with lots of mascara.

Bottoms Up

Make-up in the ’70s was all about making the eyes the star and keeping the rest of the face natural looking. Instead of only applying mascara to the top lashes, show the bottom lashes some love by coating them too. Comb through to remove any obvious clumps. Line the lower waterline with a pencil that matches your skin tone for added doe-eyed appeal.

Bushy Brows

Overdrawn, unnatural-looking brows are out. Instead, comb brows up and fill in any gaps with a small tipped eyebrow pencil working in brush stroke movements. Keep brows neat and in place with a clear brow gel.

Bronzed Beauty

Buff a bronzing powder, one that is slightly darker than your skin tone, along your cheekbones, jaw line, and forehead. Blend well using circular motions, this prevents streaks and uneven patches. Clear lip gloss finishes off the look and gives lips that naturally plumped appearance.
