Ed’s Picks To Incorporate Colour Into Your Space

Here’s how you can incorporate more colour into your spaces

Colour is a great way to bring life into a room, but can easily make a space look tacky or misplaced if used incorrectly. Do not let this stop you from trying though, as every budget lends itself to the addition of colour.  A great way to spend smartly is to upcycle your already existing pieces. This is a great money-saver and will help to create unique and personalised items, too. Also consider adding a fresh coat of paint to items that can be painted on as a budget-friendly alternative when it comes to injecting colour into a space. Brighten up that floating shelf or perhaps add an accent wall to punch up the colour.

If you have a bit more to spend when it comes to your home decor, and you aren’t afraid to try something new, then consider investing in coloured furniture to make a statement. Bright barstools to amp up your kitchen nook, or a darker shaded couch bring the kind of mood to
the room that only colour can achieve. Coloured furniture can work as long as it is not overbearing when paired with too many different shades and clashing palettes.

If your budget is of a greater value, consider playing with colour from floor to ceiling. Nothing is more confident than a room that screams colour in every direction. While this may not be for everyone, coloured rugs, walls and elegant decor will take brightening up  the room to a whole new level. Consider a monochrome scheme showcasing various shades of the same palette to add just enough colour without creating a circus.
